School Newsletters
The school newsletter is distributed every Monday of the school term unless there is a public holiday eg Queens Birthday. This is the primary way that we communicate to you regarding school events and news. Each class teacher will have a weekly class newsletter. The school newsletter can also be found on this website click here
School Assembly
Parents, Caregivers, Grandparents and other family members are more than welcome to come and join us for our school assembly - these are held on Fridays starting at 220pm. They are advertised in our school newsletter.
Absences
It is expected that parents will make every endeavour to have children at school before classes begin. Children need time to prepare their belongings first thing in the morning and this should be kept in mind. If your child is to be absent from school please ring the school office before 900am so the school is aware of your child's whereabouts.
Office Hours
The School Secretary is Mrs Jennal Rule and she works 840am till 300pm each school day.
Safety Vests
All children are issued with a safety vest when they begin school. This is expected to be worn when your child is travelling to and from school whether it be by car, bus, bike, walking etc. Also they are to be worn on school trips. Safety vests cost $15 to replace.
Banking
Children are able to bank through school each week with the BNZ in Leeston.
Buses
Bus timetables will be explained to parents at the time of enrolment.
Parent Help
There are many occasions when parents are able to assist with school activities and teachers are grateful for the support they receive at these times.
Purchasing Stationery
Parents have the option of purchasing stationery requirements through the school. An account is sent home for any books etc supplied.
School Contribution
We ask early in the school year for a donation in the form of a school contribution - this helps pay for visiting performers, entry fees for class trips. The Board of Trustees sets the school contribution early in term one.
Uniform
We have a school uniform - this is purchased from the school office.
As part of our enrolment package parents are issued with a full Information Booklet about our school.
